Printed puzzles from Oh, my Dots! have always been great for classrooms and quiet afternoons at the kitchen table. There was just one thing missing: a place for students to put their name on the page.
Not anymore. You can now add a header to any printed worksheet, so every sheet that comes off the printer is ready to hand out, fill in, and hand back.
What’s new
When you print a game as a worksheet, you can now choose from three header options:
- Name — a simple line for the student’s name
- Name and Date — name plus the date the worksheet was completed
- Name, Date and Class — name, date, and class, for teachers juggling multiple groups
Pick the option that fits, and it’s added neatly to the top of the printed sheet, above the puzzle itself.
Why it matters
If you print puzzles for a classroom, you know the drill: a stack of identical worksheets comes back from students, and without a name on top, sorting them out is a headache. A built-in header means:
- No more scrambling to label worksheets by hand before handing them out
- Easy sorting and grading afterward, especially with Name, Date and Class across multiple sections
- A tidier, more finished look for parents, tutors, and homeschool co-ops too — not just classrooms
It’s a small addition, but if you print worksheets regularly, it saves real time.
How to add a header to your printout
- Create or open the game you want to print.
- Go to 🖨️ Printouts.
- Look for the header option in the print settings.
- Choose Name, Name and Date, or Name, Date and Class.
- Download or print the worksheet — your header is already on the page.
That’s it. No extra steps, no sign-up required — just like the rest of Oh, my Dots!.
